WordPress Streaming Parameters
Against each entry in the BATC Wordpress database (currently under development) there are the following streaming parameters:
Set as callsign by default, but user-changeable.
A User-defined field that is the title of the Stream, on the page and in the listings. By default this will be the user's callsign, repeater callsign or event name. Can be empty (listing will default to output URL), but should be populated if a stream exists.
Stream Output URL
This is set by the administrators and is of the format https://batc.tv/live/callsign. If stream exists this field must be populated.
RTMP Input URL
This is set by the administrators and is of the format rtmp://batc.tv/live/uid/*****. Uid is probably the user's membership number and ****** is the upload code known only to the stream owner. If stream exists this field must be populated.
Text (or html) description of the stream entered by the user. Can be null.
Member, repeater or event. Radio buttons set by administrator. Used for categorisation in the stream index. Additionally, for event streams, transcoding is enabled.
3 tick boxes selected by the user.
Flash or HTML 5 selected by the user (although in current database this appears to be an admin-only function). Flash gives low latency, but is not suitable for mobile devices or high (>500) viewing numbers. HTML 5 is good for mobile devices and large audiences, but has an additional variable latency (around 10 - 20 seconds). Source: conversation between G8GKQ and M0DNY 27 Sep 17.
