An ATEM Mini Pro can be used as the HDMI switch. It is controlled by Telnet commands over the LAN. To control an ATEM, the following line must be in the config file:

outputswitchcontrol=atem

The parameters for the ATEM switching then need to be set. These have recently (Nov 2023) been added to the end of the config file:

The ip address needs to be set and fixed (in the dhcp server on the LAN).

The ATEM has 3 "output" selections. The output (0) is the HDMI output. The program (1) is the USB (and stream?) output, and the preview (2) is displayed on MultiView. These values should not need to be changed.

The commands to out[put each input (up to 8 on some ATEMs) follow. In all cases, the repeater controller video should be connected to physical input 1 (known in the repeater controller as output 0). If the other inputs are connected ligivcally, there should be no need to change any of these values.

The "outputmultiatem" code is used to route the Multiview output to the ATEM HDMI output. This is selected when QuadView is demanded. Note that the USB/Stream output is not capable of displaying the Multiview.

		+	There is no capability to switch audio independently of video on the ATEM, but the audio switching can be set to follow the video on the ATEM. Use the Windows ATEM Software Control, go to the audio tab and select AFV on all 4 input channels and the Master. Then from the file menu select "Save Startup State".
