Stream Viewer

This page is only applicable to the Portsdown 5, not the Portsdown 4 or Portsdown 2020.

Introduction

The Stream Viewer is selected from the main menu and up to 20 BATC streams can be programmed as presets. Each button can be customised by pressing the "Amend Preset" button and then the button to be changed. Then enter the stream name (in lower case) and the button label (mormally the stream name but in upper case).

Players

VLC is the player for normal use, although FFPlay can be selected if desired. VLC has the advantage of an on-screen volume control which can be adjusted by touching the lower right corner (reduce), upper right corner (increase) and middle right area (toggle mute). A text caption is briefly displayed in the top left corner of the screen with the new setting (as a percentage). This volume control works with all audio output devices, although it cannot be adjusted from the viewing screen if using an HDMI display. In this case, it should be adjusted from the System Config menu, or the Receive Config menu.
