Revision as of 19:36, 30 April 2017
The original MiniTiouner hardware launched in 2015 used a PCB designed by Brian G4 EWJ to enable easy home construction of the MiniTiouner hardware and components for over 200 units have been sold around the world.
All the project documentation is available for download in the zip file:

Compatible NIM
The PCB was designed for use with the Sharp and Edeartek tuner NIMs available from the BATC shop in 2015 and 2016.
Serit NIM Adapter card
Due to a different pinouts from the Sharp NIM, the Serit FTS4335 NIM needs a simple adapter board to enable it to be plugged in to the original MiniTiouner PCB available from the BATC shop.
Brian G4EWJ has designed a PCB and the blank board and the Serit FTS-4335V NIM is available in the BATC shop.
You only require the adaptor PCB if you are upgrading a MiniTiouner version 1 hardware to use the Serit tuner.
The adapter card build instructions, Parts List, Schematic and silkscreen print are in this zip file. NOTE - the kit referred to in the documentation is no longer available:
Note: As of April 2017 a new main PCB has been designed to directly take the Serit tuner - any new constructors should use this version 2 new board which will not need the adapter PCB.

When you have built your MiniTiouner, you can check it using the software "TestMyMiniTiouner" included in the Minitioune software package.
