The NDS Alteia was a first generation professional DVB receiver developed as a co-operation between NTL / NDS in the UK and Standard Communications in the USA. It was available in DVB-S, DVB-T and ASI input versions and in the late 1990s was found in almost every professional broadcast installation in the world.

Getting old now and poor signal performance is not up to modern standards but a very flexible receiver that, unlike all consumer STBs, did not need to "scan" - just set FEC and SR and it will wait for a signal on a frequency. Ideal for repeaters.
